Onion powder
Smoked paprika
Salt
Black pepper
Avocado oil
Garlic
Butter
French bread
Mozzarella cheese
Monterey Jack cheese
Fresh parsley
Munich Dunkel or Dark Lager
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1: PREHEAT OVEN
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
STEP 2: GARLIC
Slice about 1/2-inch off the top of the garlic head to expose the cloves
Drizzle olive oil over the top of the head of garlic and wrap tightly in aluminum foil.
Bake at 400°F for 45-60 minutes until the garlic becomes buttery soft and caramelized.
Reduce oven temperature to 350°F after removing the garlic.
STEP 3: PREP CHICKEN
Slice the chicken breasts into 1/2-inch thick cutlets.
Fully coat the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
STEP 4: COOK CHICKEN
In a hot, deep pan or skillet, add the oil and chicken cutlets.
Cook on medium heat for a few minutes on each side until the chicken gets a crispy crust and fully cooks through (170°F internal temperature).
Remove cooked chicken from pan, tent with foil, and set aside for a 10-minute rest.
Slice chicken into 1/2-inch wide strips.
STEP 5: GARLIC BUTTER
In a bowl, combine the softened butter, roasted garlic and half of the chopped parsley, and set aside.
STEP 6: FRENCH BREAD
Slice the loaf in half longways and remove some of the bread in the middle. This will make room for the filling in the next step.
The removed bread can be saved for another recipe like homemade croutons.
STEP 7: BUILD
Layer the bread with garlic butter, Hot Honey Ranch, shredded cheese, and sliced chicken, and top with the remaining chopped parsley.
STEP 8: BAKE
Bake in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until cheese melts and starts to get golden brown.
