Lemon Pepper Chicken Skewers

These Lemon Pepper Chicken Skewers are zesty, easy to make, and take only 10-12 minutes to cook in the air fryer!

Bring bold, zesty flavors to the table with these Lemon Pepper Chicken Skewers. Don't let this simple marinade of lemon, garlic, and black pepper fool you, this recipe is packed with flavor and you may already have all the ingredients at home. You will definitely want to add these to your weekly meal rotation!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED (scroll to full ingredient list)
6-inch Bamboo Skewers
Chicken
Lemon zest + juice
Olive oil
Garlic
Salt
Black pepper
Butter
Paprika
Heavy cream
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1: PREP MARINADE
Mix the garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and olive oil in a small bowl
STEP 2: PREP CHICKEN
Chop the chicken into large chunks, about 1-2 inch cubes.
Add chicken to a 1-gallon ZipLock bag
STEP 3: MARINATE
Pour the marinade over the chicken in the bag and mix well to coat fully.
Refrigerate for 4 hours or at least 30 minutes.
STEP 4: SKEWERS
Tightly back the chicken onto the skewers
STEP 5: SAUCE
In a small saucepan, add the butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, pepper, paprika, and cream.
Melt the mixture over low heat and mix.
STEP 6: AIR FRY
Cook the skewers in the air fryer at 400°F for about 10-12 minutes with a flip and sauce coating midway through. Save some of the sauce for serving.
The chicken is done cooking when the internal temperature reaches 170°F.
STEP 6: SERVE
Brush some of the sauce over the skewers and enjoy!

MARINADE
1.5 - 2 lb chicken breasts
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 lemon, zest
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 C olive oil
SAUCE
1/4 C unsalted butter
1/2 lemon, zest
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 C heavy cream
