Shishito Peppers

These Shishito Peppers are a simple, fast-to-make snack or appetizer sautéed in a homemade citrus stir-fry sauce and finished with our spicy, garlicky Orange Sauce.

Shishto peppers cook very quickly-- only about 5-7 minutes total, and there's nothing to prep other than the sauces or toppings.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED (scroll to full ingredient list)
Shishito peppers
Garlic
Soy sauce, low-sodium
Fresh orange juice
Sesame oil
Rice vinegar
Black pepper, coarse
Fresh ginger
Neutral cooking oil
Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
Preheat a large skillet or wok over medium heat, then add in the cooking oil.
Add the shishito peppers and sauté for about 3 minutes until they begin to blister and soften.
Add in the Citrus Stir-fry sauce to coat the peppers and sauté for 2-3 more minutes. Remove from heat.
Top with a drizzle of Orange Sauce, salt to taste, then serve.

INGREDIENTS
Makes 3-4 servings
1 lb fresh shishito peppers
2 TBSP neutral cooking oil (avocado, canola, vegetable)
Salt to taste
Drizzle with Orange Sauce
CITRUS STIR-FRY SAUCE
3 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
3 TBSP soy sauce, low-sodium
4 TBSP fresh orange juice
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 TBSP rice vinegar
1/4 tsp black pepper, coarse
1/2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
Neutral cooking oil (avocado, canola, vegetable)
Salt to taste
